DIY Outside kitchen?

  1. A camp stove on the shelf in the next to last photo would work, easy to setup and take down.
The old Volkswagen camper vans did that, it was a nice setup.

    1. The last photo is my pop-up as of right now, I found my self never using the grill, and I wish to have outside sink.
I set up this blog for brain storming new ides - thank you for comment.

  2. My stock setup is similar to your 3rd pic, but just the stove mounted to the side of the pup, not the table with sink. I almost used it once. Got the propane going, even lit the burners. Then it occurred to me all the heat rising along the canvas, windows and deflected by the awning. One small cooking flash and you have a melted/warped window and a hole in your awning, or worse. Firemen in my family share my concerns. Is there a rule that says you HAVE to cook right next to your pup and under the awning? Not that Im aware of ;-) But pup manufacturers seem to think so. Id rather burn up an EZ-UP canopy 15 feet away than lose the pup and the sanity it provides me. ;-)

    1. You are absolutely correct - good point.
I just come back from camping, and I have cocked with the Colman stove on the picnic table AWAY from the pop-up and you are right, why risk the pop-up?
also, I am thinking about leaving the 5 lb propane tank at home, why carry that heavy thing with me every trip if I NEVER use it!?

  3. I have a toyhauler that has a large storage space in the front. I would like to add a kitchen like in the top picture. Does anyone know where I may find one of these.
